Wood Gold Award Winner

Magdalene College Library has been announced winner of the 2021 Wood Awards Gold Award in the Education and Public sector being described as ” a tour de force of architectural design and achievement”.

The Wood Awards is the UK’s premier competition for excellence in architecture and product design in the world’s only naturally sustainable material. The Awards aim to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation using wood.

Shortlisted for St. Cross College Competition

Niall McLaughlin Architects has been shortlisted for the St. Cross College competition for Oxford University. Pringle Richards Sharratt, Walters and Cohen and Wilkinson Eyre are the other shortlisted practices. The brief asks for the new student accommodation to be a ‘natural companion and complement to the existing buildings’ and is described as a ‘rare opportunity to finish a tucked-away and much loved space.’
