Uncle Toby’s Garden is a collection of installations, pavilions, models and drawings carried out in a series of collaborations between 1990 and 2026. The book catalogues the practice’s open-ended processes, its digressions and reversals – reframing architecture as the performances of ritual, collaboration, speculation and play. Níall recieves the Royal Gold Medal

Last night Níall recieved the RIBA Royal Gold Medal in a ceremoney at the Royal Geographical Society. Later in the year Níall will be presented with the medal by King Charles. A film that was commissioned by the RIBA and produced by Gusto film also premiered. You can watch the film here.
Immersion Exhibition
April 2026

Opening at RIBA North in Liverpool on the 25th April, this specially commissioned installation, titled ‘Immersion’.
The installation explores how the practice challenges conventional notions of architecture. This will be visualised in the gallery through a highly crafted model of a recent international commission, using materials representative of the landscape. An accompanying film will narrate the inspiration and methodology behind the remarkable design.
