Our Tapestry building in King’s Cross has been shortlisted for a New London Award under the Mixed-Use category. The award recognises the very best new and proposed architecture, planning and development in the capital. Winners will be announced at a lunch on the 5th July. Niall McLaughlin Architects’ housing project in Whitechapel for the Peabody Trust will start on site at the end of the month. The project makes use of an infill site on the existing Victorian Peabody Trust estate. The scheme completes the courtyard enclosure formed by the existing blocks whilst retaining ‘open corners’. This strategy prompts easy pedestrian access and views between the courtyard and surrounding streets.
