NÍALL LECTURE IN ROME
NOVEMBER 2025
On the 7th November Níall will present a lecture in Rome entitled my Portfolio in Poems, as part of the conference Architecture and the Literary Imagination, organized by the American University of Rome and curated by Fabio Barry and Paul Gwynne.
The event, open to the entire DARC community, will be introduced by Maddalena Scimemi and is part of the program of courses in History of Contemporary Architecture for the Master of Science in Architectural Design, which for the occasion will be broadcast on unified channels (Channel I and Channel II). INTERNATIONAL RUGBY EXPERIENCE WINS GRAND PRIZE AND ‘SHARING PUBLIC SPACES’ CATEGORY AT THE BIANNUAL INTERNATIONAL BRICK AWARD 24 HOSTED BY WIENERBERGER
JUNE 2024
Our International Rugby Experience in Limerick has won the Wienerberger Brick 24 Grand Prize and winner in the Shared Spaces category. Judge Ingrid van der Heijden said of the building “ We chose the project as it really seduces people to go inside, because of what you can see on the outside”. The jury of internationally renowned architects chose five winning projects out of 743 entries from 54 countries.
The Brick Award is an international established award and has been celebrating outstanding brick architecture from all around the world for 2 decades.
