House of the Year Shortlist

Saltmarsh House has been shortlisted for the RIBA House of the Year. Judges have described the building as "design and execution of Saltmarsh House is faultless, a testament to the power of good architecture and the role that it can play in creating inspiring and sustainable structures." The winner will be announcd on the 29th November. A film made by the RIBA can be viewed here.

Somerville College Wins Brick Awards

November 2012

Niall McLaughlin Architects was confirmed as the winner of the Brick Awards 2012.  The Somerville College student accommodation for Oxford University was given the award under the category of Best Housing Development of 26 Units or more.

The judges considered the project to be ‘impressive’ and of a ‘high quality’ and paid tribute to the ‘neat and sharp’ details throughout and the careful consideration of the existing surrounding brickwork.
