On the 10th December Níall will be giving a talk in Guadalajara for ForA Foro Arquitectura. ForA is a non-profit cultural project focused on the critical analysis of architecture, based in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Its focus on the city, contemporary thought, urbanism, and its intersection with other disciplines forms the basis for the consolidation of this project for creative practice. In October Níall was awarded with the UCD Alumni Award in Engineering and Architecture. The UCD Alumni Awards were established to honour the extraordinary accomplishments of the UCD alumni community. Since their inception in 2014, the Awards have recognised individuals who exemplify excellence and embody the values of UCD through their work and contributions to society. Each year, these honours spotlight alumni who have made a significant impact across a wide range of fields – including business, industry, healthcare, science, culture, sport, and the arts.
On the 2nd October Níall will be giving a keynote lecture as part of FRAME 25 in Goa. FRAME is instituted as an independent, biennial professional conclave on contemporary architecture in India curated by Matter and organised in partnership with Takshila Educational Society. The event will engage with the question of DRAWING as an act of authorship that is both reflective and projective. Over three days of films and lectures, the conclave will deliberate on the multiple and diverse approaches towards the one central idea at the core of creative practice: 'To Draw'.
