On the 18th September Níall and Dr Yeoryia Manolopoulou (Professor of Architecture and Experimental Practice at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London) are giving a public lecture at the British School at Rome entitled On Drawing. Niall McLaughlin Architects’ Somerville College Student Accommodation for Oxford University has been awarded a RIBA Award 2012. The project was one of only 50 projects in the UK to win one of the prestigious awards.
RIBA President Angela Brady said of the winning schemes, ‘What really stands out is that even in times of austerity, we can still deliver amazingly clever, high quality buildings…these projects are truly exciting and inspiring.’
