Twelve Halls

Twelve Halls is a collection of built and unbuilt projects by the practice, published on the occasion of our contribution to the 16th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.

The idea of people coming together to express a shared identity is embodied in the word hall. The book, therefore, describes twelve simple spaces designed for gathering, each one with a ritual at its heart. They are rooms for dining, storytelling, music, drama, religious rituals and playing sports. Each project is accompanied by an essay by Níall  McLaughlin, and includes drawings, photographs and images.
