Tilo Guenther

Director

Tilo is a Director at Níall McLaughlin Architects, with over 25 years’ experience in architectural practice. Since joining the studio in 2006, he has led many of the practice’s major housing, higher education, cultural, private residential and masterplanning projects.

Alongside his project work, Tilo plays a key role in practice management and is actively involved in the sustainability and insurance working groups.

Before moving to the UK in 2002, Tilo worked in Germany and the United States. Prior to joining Níall McLaughlin Architects, he was an Associate at Eger Architects in London, where he led a range of education, community and private residential projects.

Tilo gained his Part I at the Technische Universität Braunschweig, studied at the University of the Arts Berlin, and completed his Part II with a first-class degree at the University of Stuttgart. He has acted as a visiting critic at the University of Stuttgart and the University of Greenwich, and as a guest tutor at Kingston University and The Bartlett.
