Anne Schroell

Director

Anne was appointed Director in 2025 and has been with the practice since 2006. She brings extensive experience across higher education, housing and cultural projects, with a particular interest in working on historic and sensitive sites. Her recent completed projects include the Faith Museum at Auckland Castle, winner of the 2024 Building Beauty Award. She is currently leading the design of the new Maggie’s Centre in Cambridge. Alongside her project work, Anne plays a key role in practice management, with a focus on bids and competitions, and is an active member of the HR team.

Anne studied architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, where she maintains close professional links. She is passionate about the power of well-designed spaces to enhance wellbeing, strengthen communities and support learning. She volunteers at her local primary school as a member of the Premises Committee, helping to guide thoughtful improvements to the school’s environment. Anne has served as Jury Chair for the RIBA East Midlands Awards.
