Ben was educated at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand where he also worked as a design tutor. He also briefly studied abroad at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Denmark. His Master’s thesis project was awarded a Distinction and was selected as one of the Top 12 student projects in New Zealand. It was also awarded First Prize in the Institution Category of the 2015 International Architecture Thesis Awards “Rethinking the Future”.
Prior to working for NMLA, Ben was in Copenhagen interning for COBE Architects, where he worked on a mixed-use development in Norway, and was part of the successful competition entry to masterplan Papirøen, the last remaining ex-industrial island in central Copenhagen.
Since Ben joining NMLA in 2016 he has worked on a number of projects in the office, including Camden Good Yard and a new store in Tokyo. He is currently working on the International Rubgy Experience in Limerick.
