The Tradition of Modern Architecture in Oxford is a document prepared by the Oxford University Estates Department to assist the public in gaining an understanding of the rich history of modern buildings in the city.
We hope that it will be used to support planning applications so that it can be shown that the University is working within an established continuity. In this document we offer themes to help piece together why modern architecture in the city is like it is.
