Bristol Bridge: The official opening ceremony of our competition-winning pedestrian bridge at Temple Quay Central, Bristol, was held on 3 October. The perforated stainless steel structure was designed and made using advanced computer technology. It glows at night like a lantern revealing the pattern of structural forces passing through the bridge. Photos of the completed bridge will be available here shortly. • Mizu Salon: The hairdressing salon Mizu, in Boston, USA, opened on 27 October. It was designed for Elan Sassoon. • House in Hambleden: A tiny dining room extension on a house in Hambleden has been completed. This is the 5th different home we have designed for Toby, Susan and family, our first ever clients. • St. James' Church: We have achieved planning consent for St. James' Church in Peckham. • Blackburn Square Competition: In a competition organized by The Landscape Institute, we have been shortlisted for a scheme in Victoria Square in Blackburn with Dan Pearson Studio. We are one of six design teams working on the square. • Scotswood Expo Competition: We have also been shortlisted for Scotswood Expo, an RIBA design competition, which aims to develop new housing ideas for a regeneration area in Newcastle. • Extra Care Facility: We have been appointed to design an extra care facility for a second building in the Argent King's Cross regeneration scheme. We are already working on the competition-winning T1 Building overlooking the canal basin. The new project will involve working in collaboration with One Housing and Maccreanor Lavington Architects. • Diarmaid McLaughlin: We would like to welcome Diarmaid McLaughlin to the world! Niall and Mary's first baby was born on the 24th of October. • RIBA Awards Group: After six years of continuous involvement, Niall has stepped down as Chair of the RIBA Awards Group. |
