The silver wall is situated at the bottom of the garden axially with the window. The object is a light box with sand blasted glass mounted onto the front. Brass strips are laminated onto the glass. They have been electroplated with silver. Tiny gaps between the ingots glow with light from behind. As the day changes, the balance of natural and artificial light varies, changing the wall from surface to frame. The silver will tarnish from mirror through nicotine yellows to black. Once a year, at Easter, the family polish the wall with Duraglit.
