The
Town Square is orientated to maximise daylight. On summer mornings,
the cultural centre's cafe can spill out of the building into
the sunny square. As the day progresses, the cafe / bar is in sunlight
and will too open out to the Square. A small square sits alongside Town
Square. Unlike Town Square, Cinema Square is occupied mostly at night.
It is artificially lit by the cafe building, cinema signage and projected
images from the cafe that are cast onto the cinema building.
The bar opens onto this square in the evening. |
