This
family house is for a young married couple. Both work in the I.T. industry
and mostly from home. The traditional idea of the house as a private
retreat is inverted. The architecture celebrates the home as a place
where work, cooking, exercise and other activities are at the centre
of their life.
The clients asked us to imagine how new technologies will alter the
way they live. With Ove Arup & Partners we are developing responsive
environmental technologies to lead us to a new kind of architecture. |
